Life's pretty busy nowadays, which I'm sure many of the JC people will agree. Honestly speaking, it's really a big jump from secondary school. In contrast, TJC is really a good school (I didn't regret putting it as my first choice) Except that it's full of muggers. Everytime there's free period, just look everywhere - library, canteen, benches around school.

I think I'm beginning to adapt with JC life, with lectures that ever seemed boring (except forBiology) and piles of tutorials to be completed. Life in TK wasn't like this. Lessons weren't so boring and homework wasn't so much. Really, I miss TK so very much.

I miss slacking in the NCC clubhouse during PEs.
I miss going out of school during trainings, only to get caught by Ms Chen who claimed she saw us through the camera.
I miss sitting down in the staff lounge during POP and sat there for like 2 hours (shh)
I miss playing with chemicals in Chemistry lab when Mrs Tan wasn't looking.
I miss sitting at the back of the class and talking nonsense while munching on food that all of us brought.
I miss playing frisbee during recess aka extended PE lessons.
I miss smuggling food out of the canteen during recess and going a long way through the back of the hall after being caught by Mr Tan.
I miss slacking in the field toilet during PE and never got caught.
I miss bathing in the staff toilet during POP and got caught by Ms Kwong.
I miss English lessons with Mdm Yeo who was never pleased with AG 2b.

Gosh, there's like a whole list of things that I miss doing in TK. I promise I will go back to TK one day. Oh. I'm skipping Grade 9 and 8 practical exam because the teacher thinks I'm to fast ==" So, she wants me to take Grade 7 exam. And 21/09 is so united - we mug together during breaks especially on Tuesdays, when the break is exceptionally long.

Ever heard of this term - ceterus paribus? I'm sure you do.

Ciao.

School life really burn my free time to blog. Luckily, I finally found time to do so. Firstly, my appeal was successful. I am now in 21/09, taking BCME1. My class has 25 people, 18 girls and 7 boys. Yes, I can see your shocked faces.

Basically I've sat through Mathematics lecture which was initially a bit tough because I've not touched any Mathematics books/notes for the past 3 months. Oh, we get to use the graphic calculators which I thought was very cool because at O Levels we need to find out the minimum, maximum, turning point for graph sketching but now, just punch in the equation and the calculator does the sketching. But, we're not doing any sketching because we're now learning sequences and series which was enough to kill me.

Economics freaked me out completely. It's like learning about the market system, trade etc. I was wondering how was I going to score since everything doesn't make sense to me. The good point is, since it is a new subject, the lecturer has to start from scratch. I'm just going to really hope that Economics would be manageable. Well, at least there is no LORMS.

Biology is fun and interesting, which is so much better than Physics. The teachers are nice and funny, which really helps because everybody seemed bored during lectures. Since I'm given a chance to take up Biology, I'll make full good use of this opportunity to get A for A Levels although the first practical almost took my eyesight away.

Chemistry is a total letdown. I am really thankful that the TK Chemistry teachers have taught us well and gave us a solid foundation of the subject. Simply because I couldn't adapt to the way they disseminate the information. If not for TK Chemistry teachers, I would be lost during lectures. And yes, the first topic totally bores me - Mole Concept. TK took about 2 months to complete this topic while TJC took 2 lectures = 1h 40mins to finish this topic. That's how fast they teach.

I really love CG 21/09 very much, even though the girls outnumber the boys. The people are really very enthusiastic. I really hope I could fit it into the class and bond with the whole class.
I'm not going to let history repeat itself. Oh, I'm in Alpha house now. I guess I'll just have to accept this even though I know will miss Daekaron aka Delta very much.

Ciao.

I wanted to blog yesterday night but I guess I was too tired to do so. So, here it goes.

ORIENTATION '09 - IGNITE THE INFINITE

So TJC Orientation '09 - Ignite The Infinite was over last night. I'm feeling quite sad actually that this has to end. Partly because I've been spending most the of time with the most awesom-est people ever, OG16 and the OGLs. The other reason is because next Monday is the start of lectures/tutorials. That means stress, stress and more stress.

So assembly was at the hall, followed by temperature taking. The schedule for lectures next week were given out. They also asked us to collect the Maths and Chemistry notes. Watched the mass dance by the SC. Then it was the Battle of the Titans. OG16 didn't make it so, we could sit under the shade. The heat that morning was simply unbearable. Lunched at White Sands then bus-ed back to school. O Night was great, I guess with all the people getting hyped. Too bad Daekaron didn't win but it's all right because all of us did a great job. So, Xcion ended up winning the leading clan. After everything was over, all of us did mass dance. SPEEDY! Oh yes, the OGLs were so sweet as to give ALL of us a group photo and they wrote at the back of the photo :

Dear _________,
It was a wonderful time being your OGLs and we hope you had as much fun as we did. OG16 baik!

I was feeling so touched that I almost cried. Okay, that's exaggerating. Let's put it this way, I couldn't bear to part with OG16 and the OGLs. Iwill seriously miss all of them. Keep in touch all right?

OG16 baik!
OGLs baik!
Daekaron baik!

Did I mention I'm in CG 22/09 taking PCME? I'm pissed with the combination they gave me. I didn't want Physics because I had enough of Physics for 2 years. I was hoping they'd be kind enough to let me take Biology even though my Physics is a B3. I'm so going to appeal one final time.
Ciao

4th day of orientation's over. Suprisingly, I'm actually feeling quite sad that this whole thing is coming to an end. Usually, I would impatiently wait for orientation to end so that I can start lessons. Seriously, no kidding. Perhaps I'm lucky to be part of a super duper fun OG with super duper kind, friendly (inserts all bombastic adjectives) OGLs. The OGLs are like damn superb I tell you.

Today started with assembly in the hall. Then the usual PDP commercials and PE department talk. MASS GAMES followed. The games were all right except the last one where we need to run around a cone for 5 times, then dip our heads in a container (?) full of water and finally using our mouth to pick up a Mentos in a container (?) full of flour. It's like disgusting to have your face covered in flour. Not to mention, flour in the mouth. I almost vomitted. MASS DANCE after that. COUPLE DANCE! MASS DANCE @ SUNTEC at 6pm. Shiok I tell you. SPEEDY!

I ponned Electone lessons yesterday due to overwhelming tiredness. Half of my body wanted to go while the other half refused to. So I ended up listening to the evil half of my body. Now I cannot submit my exam pieces. I've decided on Pirates of the Carribean for the first piece. Second and third, not sure yet. I still can't get POTC - He's a Pirate right and that's super sad.
Melody was okay, chords were slightly okay but pedals got sort of screwed up. The BGM plays at 180 beats per minute.

O Night tomorrow.

Ciao.

We've got a fever.
We're hot.
We can't be stopped.

It seems I've abandoned this blog for quite some time. I guess it's time for me to sort of like, revive this blog. So, a lot of things have happened and yes, there were some important events that took place.

Results for the JAE 2009 was released last Friday. I couldn't sleep the previous night because there were so many questions that were playing on my mind like what am I supposed to do if I'm posted to some JC far away? Luckily my fears were unfounded and I got posted to TJC.
Then Monday came pretty fast, marking the start of JC. I was posted to OG 16. At first I thought I was the only one from TK in that group. Thank god there was another fellow TKsian.
I thought the OG was pretty okay. The people were very friendly and I got to know quite a few of them. The OGLs were also friendly and approachable. So OG 16 had Calvin, Wen Chuen, Alvin, Matthew, Brenda, Shi Ying, Lynette and Le Xuan as our OGLs. There were many more but yeah, I could only remember these few.
Then there is this house system where everybody is posted based on their OGs. The house namely DAEKARON, Zandor, Verelda and Xcion. Now you can guess which house I belong to.
So, things were pretty hyped up with all those cheers and glory points were given generously. We did those icebreakers games and also MASS DANCE.

Tuesday came in the blink of an eye. Managed to survive through the talks that took hours to complete, with PDP commercials and cheering in between. But well, the only thing I was looking forward to was the Orientation video. Then it was Amazing Race but I thought it kind of screwed up because we only went to like 2 stations. Mass dance in school after that. The first dance was sort of complicated but the second one was fun. Turns out we're going to learn new dance moves up till Thursday. Then we planned for our O-Night performance which was a bit stupid. Purchased school uniforms and went back home.

TODAY. Talks in the mornings which subsequently almost led me into dreamland. Mass games followed. We practically lost every single game but the last one was ours. FLOUR! Mass dance again. New dance moves that were even more complicated. Lunch at the school canteen. After that was PDP exhibition.

Oh yes. Did I mention TJC takes attendance by tapping ez-link card on those machines that almost resembles that outside offices? You know, those kind where you need to tap using a card to enter. I think its very cool other than the fact that when you stupidly forget to tap, the school sees you as absent.

Ciao.
